Home of the Njesta Crusade!

Welcome to Implausible Nature!  This website contains a compilation of Black Templars information including photographs, battle reports, painted models, tactics, and army lists.  A little something for everyone!  If you're looking for help with the Black Templars, or just visiting to get a general feel for the army, then this is the site for you.  Check out Raven's Blog, where I make regular posts with all sorts of Black Templars and Warhammer 40k information.  The blog will also contain any update information on Implausible Nature, the Njesta Crusade, and will serve as a method to contact readers if the need calls for it.

Do you want me to answer a question, review your Black Templars army list, or need some tactics help?  Check out my Contact Page to find my email address.  I'm more than willing to assist you with anything 40k-related.  Feel free to shoot me a message with any comments, layout suggestions, or constructive criticism about Implausible Nature.
Even sending things such as your battle reports, modeling/painting pictures, and content suggestions are perfectly acceptable.  :D

It is my goal to update this website at least once a month with new content.  Expect random changes and article posts throughout the month, in addition to any planned updates.  At times, something that I had planned to include in a monthly update might find itself released early, or unfortunately, postponed due to lack of time.  I apologize in advance for these delays, as someone might wait all month for the update, just to see it being pushed back.  I will do my best to stay as timely as possible.
Are you trying to find something specific but can't?  Try the Site Index!  It should be able to direct you to the relevant page.

This is what's new this month (August):

1) Discussion regarding Rules as Written (RAW), Rules as Intended (RAI), and the INAT FAQ.  Includes several BT examples.
2) A short discussion about the ETC tournament and my thoughts on it.
3) An additional "Building a 5th Edition List" page for the BT 101 guide.
4) A general tactica and list building page.  Contains a repository of useful articles by other authors around the community.

5) State of Affairs:  Implausible Nature's impact on the Black Templars community.

What's coming (September):
1) One more "Building a 5th Edition List" page, bringing the final total to three.
2) Expanding on the BT 101: Duality and BT 101: Tips for Beating Other Armies pages.
3) An inventory of my Black Templars miniatures and vehicles, with accompanying photos.
4) Coverage of the Nova Open.  My impressions and thoughts on the event, as well as what to expect in for future tournaments.
5) Competitive players
vs Hobbyists: Healing the divide.

About me:

I hail from Shakopee, Minnesota and the land of 10,000 Frozen Tundras.  I'm currently 24 years of age and studying to obtain my B.A. in Law Enforcement at Metropolitan State University.  I began playing Warhammer 40k in early 2000 (3rd Edition) at a local Hobby Town USA.  After small investment, I was well on my way to building my first army: the Ultramarines.  After playing some games, I found my niche in close combat and tended to field armies with this in mind.  With the release of the Armageddon codex in late 2000, my permanent army was born in the form of the Black Templars Chapter.  They embodied everything that is zealousness, fury, and honor.

At the beginning of 2009, I decided that I was going to join the online Warhammer 40k community so I could build on my already significant experience in the game and more specifically, with the Black Templars.  This was enlightening to be sure.  It definitely opened my eyes to different perspectives, as well as making me a better player.  However, there was one thing that was lacking from the internet and that was a solid Black Templars website.  Several sites existed that focused on the BT, but were either outdated or they contained questionable content.  If I had been a new player wanting to try out the Black Templars, there would have been only a small handful of places to glean information from.  So I decided to address that issue and created this site in September 2009.
