Decision 2010!

As everyone very well knows, the Tyranids have been released to the world.  After much anticipation and hype, I can truthfully say that the Nids are every bit as beastly as we thought.  And then some.  I've played 5 games against a tournament Nid list and I'm only 2-2-1 with my Black Templars.  This does not bode well!  I definitely need several more games against them before I can accurately convey my experiences here on my site.

That being said, I'm glad that there is some new and exciting things being introduced to 40k.  The codex seems solid in every phase of the game as well as gaining several important things that makes them able to compete in 5th edition (Str 10 weapons, AP 1 weapons, more anti-vehicle weapons, more units, etc).  I feel these guys will be able to be used even when a new edition of the game comes out.

That brings me to decision making time.  I've started building a Dark Eldar army, of which I'm quite excited about.  However, there have been reports the last month or so saying that Jes Goodwin has finished sculpting the DE product line.  Whats more, Games Workshop is scraping all of the current models from their line.  That means that there will be a new codex soon and all of the models will pretty and shiny!  But unfortunately, there is no timeline on when this will be released.  Because of that, I've been quite interested in the new Nid models and codex.  Would it just be buying into the new and shiny thing?  Yes.  But the models are SOOO nice!  I don't know!  I hate to buy more DE models to continue building up the force when its possible those units will be purged from the new codex.  Makes me sadface.

In other news, I should be finished with the Nid codex review within a few short days and then I'll get it posted up online for everyone.  I've also been working on my BT a bit, so I hope to get some progress pics up within the week.

Thats all for now!
