Let's run that fever up...

The flu seems to be moving around my workplace like the plague, and of course, I caught it.  After barely surviving my shift last night (I was literally dead), I slept for the majority of today and I'm still not up to par yet.  As such, you may not see anything from me while I'm recovering from this nasty bug...  :(

For those that sent me emails the past couple days, I'll try and return them as soon as I'm

I don't believe I'm suggesting it, but given your luck this winter, maybe you out to get a shot? I'm actually old enough that I had several of the latest nasty flu bugs in some form as a kid, so I'm mostly immune to them.

In any case, get the C, love the C and take the C. Oh, after you get well, because even though C is good to keep you from getting sick, it really doesn't seem to help once you are sick...

Aye, this is a very abnormal winter for me. I usually avoid all of these illnesses and stay relatively healthy year round. Not sure what changed.

As such, I'm definitely considering taking that shot. :/

How's your painting going? I got my army painter yesterday and made a start today :)

In truth, the shot is normally somewhat on the semi-useless side for reasons I won't get into here, but mainly because the "experts" have to guess a couple of years in advance which particular "family" of influenza will be around. It also doesn't seem to stick around as well as if you actually get sick. The reason why the 2009 outbreak was a "young person" flu was because it was related to viruses that went around in the 50s and 60s, so if you were alive then and caught it, your body had antibodies that were similar enough to hold the line until your body could fine tune it.

@Cory
Not as well as I'd have hoped. I definitely won't finish in the 61 days, there simply as been too many conflicts. All I can do is try my best to get done as much as I can. Because of this, I'm considering changing the format of the page a little bit from a daily log to a periodic update log. Its rather tedious to include the details of what I painted that day, and since I'm painting many like models, it'll likely end up repeated several times over before its through.

I have another few months until it all needs to be done, so I should finish everything. But I'd have liked to finish it with time to spare. :(
