Outside of the box...

Back to our regularly scheduled program!  Its been awhile.  Things have been in relative upheaval for me, but there is no longer anything I can do about it.  Its tragic really.  I'm incredibly distressed because of all of it.  But alas...that is why coming back to Implausible Nature and the Black Templars is important.  I enjoy helping others.  So let's get at it eh?  :)

This is the official announcement of my attendance for the Nova Open 2015.  I will be playing the Black Templars, obviously.  I will also be playing Malifaux there.  If you like skirmish based games, this is where you need to be looking.  Anyway, I need to get a lot of games played in a very short amount of time.  Fortunately, I have almost all of the miniatures needed to make this happen.  I'm looking to play competitively, but I want to look outside of the conventional methods if possible.

So I'm looking at builds.  If the missions that Nova Open intends to use favor the Defensive Drop Pod list, then that is what I'll be running.  If not, I'd like to have a backup plan.  Certain things need to be fulfilled.  Anti-air.  Anti-tank.  Anti-infantry.  I'm also going to try to leverage the strengths of the Space Marine codex and Black Templars chapter.  It'll be fun.  I don't know what I'm going to go with yet, but I'll be taking everyone along for the ride.

Early favorite is a Land Speeder Storm rush list. I've already built my first iteration of the list and its got serious potential. :D

Glad to see you back Marshall!

I used a few time a scout list with pretty good result.

Had 6 full squads of Scouts, and Combat squadded them. First half was meant to Close combat with the sergant (combi and meltabomb), the other half had heavy bolter/missile and snipers. Both half-squad covering the other the best they could.

Master of the forge rode in a Stormraven, and 3xDreadnaughts in Drop pods with flamers and assault cannon dropped to provoque things and distract. «

It was always more of a survival game, but I always managed to earn enough points with objectives to win. It was meant to be a fun fluffy list at first, as the ultimate trial for the neophytes. I ended up doing more trials then needed. ;-)
