Yes! Victory!

Finished painting my first Dreadnought ever.  I'm pretty pleased with myself.  While the project is far from over, only four days have gone by and one model is done.  I'm not complaining.  Even if I don't finish, if I can keep up the habit of painting 2-3 hours a day, I'll be rocking!  You can find pictures of the Dreadnought on my "A Crusade in 61 Days" page.  In addition, you can find my currently worked on stuff in the painting project on the Work in Progress page.  There may, or may not be pictures available for the models being painted at that time.  But you'll at least be able to see a detailed description of the work I did on the model prior to completion.  :D

Also, Bigdunc has started to put out some articles on his blog: The Kannas Crusade.  They are in relation to unit selection and analysis.  Compared to the B&C Librarium Article by uberschveinen, these first two articles are a much superior alternative.  In fact, I've been given permission by Bigdunc to use them here on Implausible Nature to compliment Marshal Wilhelm's stuff.  I've wanted to do my own unit by unit analysis, but I simply do not have the time.  And Bigdunc has thus far done an excellent job with his.  I can't think of anything that I disagreed with him on, at least in these first two articles.  So he gets the Implausible Nature stamp of approval, whether he wants it or not.  Expect to see these on the website shortly.  :)

Also, sorry, I've been slacking on this month's updates.  They'll be up shortly (maybe a couple days).  Work and the painting project have cut in.  :(

And it begins!

The great trek!  It begins today!  You can find pictures of my army on the Crusade in 61 Days page, some of it in various stages of assembly due to me trying out a new way of painting.  If it doesn't work out, I'll just put them together.  Not a big deal, maybe an hour of work, max.

You'll also notice an un-assembled Razorback there.  Unfortunately, the previous one had an accident.  A certain Titan whom shall not be named stepped on the Emperor's vehicle when they weren't paying attention, so a replacement was brought to the lines.  In addition, there needs to be some magnet work done on the Predators.  Apparently the primer loosened up the super glue that was holding the magnets to the model, so I need to take the time to re-glue them.  For all of the weapon configurations.  That'll be a pain, so I'll probably save that for a later time.

So yeah.  Its on.  Going to try that experimental paint scheme with the black washes on one of the miniatures and see how it turns out.  If it's good, I'll use it on the rest of them.  If not, oh well.  I've already got an established scheme to use.  Also, do not expect updates on the Daily Log until the following day, as I tend to stay up far later than most people so I'll likely be working into the early morning hours.  ;)

Alright.  Time to put my nose to the grinder before I have to go to work!  :D
